‘Hey look, there’s goes a ranger,’ said Kade, leaning back in his seat as he looked out the restaurant window and out to the city street beyond. A white SUV with a blaring purple light bar pootled past the burger joint. Kade wore an old maroon shirt underneath a navy leather jacket with red stripes. His black hair was naturally unkempt above his gaunt, Indonesian features.
Justin turned in his seat to look the same direction as Kade ‘A city ranger? What’s so great about them?’ he replied as he unwrapped his fresh cheeseburger ‘I think they just check parking meters and stuff.’ He took a bite and began absent-mindedly gazing down the street. He wore blue hoodie jacket atop a black shirt, the hoodie having a cartoon bee stencilled on the shoulders. His head was topped with short, brown hair and his features were slightly pudgy.
Kade slumped against the table

Caption Box A:
Eons Ago, on Earth
Long ago, when life was still young on planet Earth, the world received a visitor from the stars. A refugee from a galaxy lost to inner turmoil, a wayward being trying to escape a civilization lost to barbarism, vengeance, and chaos.
Flying blindly through the stars, with nothing but the hope of finding a new place to be, a better place, where a being such as him could exist and be among. For an uncounted age it slumbered, drifting among star, weaving among planets, until finally coming to its fated destination.

Vero bounced in his seat as the beaten up arvus lighter flew through the air, its engines sputtering and the bitter wind chilling him through his flak armour and combat fatigues. He held on tightly to his lasgun as he flew in the opened cockpit, its wind screen having broken upon its initial crashing. He was greatly aware of the red armoured Salamander standing beside him, his remaining arm grasping the ships remote and struggling to keep the craft in air. 'Do you want me to take over?' asked Vero, raising his voice to be heard over the roaring wind.
The techmarine turned to him 'Why? Do you actually know how to fly this thing?'
'No,' admitted the guardsmen 'but it just looks like you're having trouble with one hand.'
'I'll manage,' replied Empu flatly. His servo arm had reached up and crunched onto a part of the crafts roof so that he may be more steady, but even then it was clear that the remote was meant to be used with two hands to fly well.

With most of the mutant hoarde destroyed the Salamanders and guardsmen were able to look through what remained of the outpost. Alot of it had been digustingly debased. In the center of the outpost was the smouldering remains of a bonfire, within which blackened flesh and charred flak armour could be seen. Crude sigils had been drawn along the walls in bloody smears and chewed bones lay strewn along the dirt ground. The pair of guardsmen were pale and grim as they viewed the carnage before them.
The space marines crowded around Empu 'You fit, soldier?' asked Pendekar plainly.
The red armoured Salamander looked away from Dukuns healing work and turned to his captain 'Yes, i've still got two arms,' he'd reply with a grin as his servo arm unfolded above his head, its hydralic claw opening and closing as smoothly as one would do the same with their fist.
Hatta and Radan had moved forward and were already at the other side of the outpost, their bolters raised
